I think this is a great tool! however in this new version, which requires a webservice to be running on the server, everything runs VERY slowly compared to before.

Hi,

Did you try that from the same machine? I mean having the web service and the client in the same one? The new version generates all the objects locally as well. Therefore it may take more time than the older version when it gets initialized (older one directly uses MCMS API). But it should work similar to the old one thereafter. If you think that it is always slow, please let explain me more (how is the network connection / how big your sire is / the performance of Site Manager / for which events its getting slow) so that I can work on to improve the performance.

Thanks for your feedback!

Cheers,
Chester.

The server and the client is on the same machine. Everything I do in the manager runs slow (Expanding Channel-list for example). This would be OK if the site was not on the local machine.

Also, there is a problem with the new MCMS Manager trying to access and authenticate to the LIVE site when using host-headers as channel-roots.

I think you should use MCMS API directly if the servername is localhost and the webservice URL is left blank. This would be great!

Hi,

Site Manager loads all the postings when a channel is selected where MCMS Manager loads all the postings when it is expanded. That may be the reason for the above behavior. But after 1st load it should be faster than previous versions!

I've to double check about the host header mapping.

I'm currently working on an update where surely you'll get better performance!

Thanks for your feedback.

Cheers,
Chester.
